Miter Saw Stand Base Parts

Here are all the parts for the base cut to finished size.

    I really admire your work and the miter saw stand. My one question I have is (let me apologize first if this question has been answered and I missed it) why do you have to shim the miter saw, instead why not just raise the base to the appropriate height so the base or table of the saw is the same height as the side wings. Thank you for your response and your work!!!!

    • Hey Tom, thanks for the compliment. First, there are several ways to compensate for the various miter saws out there. The side wings are a set depth so I think the easiest way to make the saw cutting surface the same height as the wings is to make shims to being the saw up to the same height. Good to hear from you.
